Malibu

Die Strandbar Malibu ist auch bekannt als Szene-Treff am „Rolex-Strand“. Damit ist alles gesagt: Hier tummelt sich nahezu ausnahmslos die Insel- Schickeria! Die schicken Korbstühle stehen im Sand, der Service ist einwandfrei und bedient euch mit erstklassigen Drinks. Nicht billig, klar, aber dafür darf man hier dem sympathischen Snobismus frönen. Das tun viele hier und fühlen sich dabei pudelwohl. Grund dafür könnte sein, dass die Rolex beim Hüpfen ins Wasser problemlos am Platz gelassen werden kann. Geklaut wird hier nicht, der Nachbar hat schließlich ein eigenes Modell. Was, keine dabei? Macht nichts, zur Not darf hier auch ohne gesonnt und relaxt werden!

The beach-bar, Malibu is a trendy place to be on ‘Rolex Beach’ which sums it up perfectly: the island jetset pretty much has the place to itself. There are chic basket seats on the beach, perfect service and first-class drinks. Not cheap, to be sure, but one can, after all, here indulge in amicable snobbery. That’s apparently most of the crowd’s favourite pastime and makes them feel like a million dollars. Perhaps it’s because they can nonchalantly leave their Rolex lying about when they go for a quick swim. No pickpockets here: everyone has his own model. What? You don’t have one? Well, never mind. You can sunbathe and relax here without one, if you must!
