Shannon Barnett - Wolves and Mirrors
The Australian trombonist and singer Shannon Barnett is of dazzling versatility. She played with the Black Arm Band in Melbourne, with Dee Dee Bridgewater in New York and as a member of the WDR Big Band in Cologne. With the new formation WOLVES AND MIRRORS, she tells in her own minimalistic songs about themes that move her personally: homesickness, feminism and vulnerability. In addition to Barnett's unmistakable trombone sound, the focus here is on her unique singing voice.

Lau Noah
The singer and guitarist Lau Noah, originally from Spain, now lives in Brooklyn. She weaves her musical carpet like a conversation of three ingredients: the art of telling stories, the encounter of cultures and an almost endless imagination. The audience can go on a journey - back to their childhood days, to the person they became after the concert. Billboard Magazine raves: "Lau Noah enchants music lovers with one song at a time."

Goldings / Amber / Stewart
Organist Larry Goldings, guitarist Peter Bernstein and drummer Bill Stewart have long been among the "titans" in jazz and the list of titans they have worked with is also long. As a trio they have been playing since 1991 - "the best organ trio of the decade" for the New York Times even then - and are constantly developing this form with their very personal compositions. As Goldings remarks: "We strive above all for interaction and want to continue to grow together as musicians".

10 years KLAENG Festival

Ten years of KLAENG collective also mean ten years of KLAENG Festival. This collective festival has long since developed into a European hotspot for contemporary, improvised music. As with the six KLAENGstern, the success of this three-day autumn festival is based above all on its cross-genre and cross-style concept, in which the highly diverse musical preferences of the collective are processed and presented to the audience.

And the programme for the tenth anniversary of the KLAENG Festival also follows this path - with one difference: for the first time an "Artist in Residence" was invited. The American pianist and organist Larry Goldings will take on this task from 22 to 24 November and will also be performing twice on stage during the festival: with his ancestral organ trio with guitarist Peter Bernstein and drummer Bill Stewart on the opening evening, while he concludes this year's festival with his three-day "Köln Experience" - the name of this unique project - behind him. In between there are performances of Peter Brötzmann and Heather Leigh, Köster's successful band "Die Verwandlung", the Danish pianist Jacob Anderskov plus Strings or Spoom around the Berlin guitarist Ronny Graupe.
